The common questions.
Pricing, in-person vs. online, what the free intro looks like, results, nutrition, cancellation, and training with an injury — sorted before you reach out.
1:1 sessions are $85 single, dropping to $70 each in a 20-pack. Small-group is from $45/person. Online coaching is $199/mo, month-to-month. The 16-week Transformation is $2,400 (payment plan available). Every new client starts with a free intro session — you decide after that. Prices here are illustrative for this template.
In-person at The Forge in Boise is best if you want hands-on coaching, you’re new to lifting, or you’re returning from injury. Online is ideal if you have your own gym, travel, train on an odd schedule, or live outside Boise — you get a custom program in the app, video form-checks, and weekly check-ins. Plenty of clients do a hybrid of both.
We sit down and talk through your goals, history, injuries and schedule, then move a little so I can see where you’re starting. There’s no obligation and no hard sell — if I’m not the right coach for you, I’ll happily point you to someone who is. You’ll leave knowing exactly what training together would look like.
It depends on your starting point and consistency, but most clients feel stronger and move better within 4–6 weeks, and see visible body-composition change in 8–16 weeks of consistent training. I’ll set realistic, measurable targets at your assessment. Individual results vary — anyone promising a guaranteed number on a timeline is selling something.
Yes — habit-based nutrition is built into 1:1 and Transformation coaching, and available as a standalone or add-on. No banned foods, no spreadsheets you’ll abandon. We work on one sustainable habit at a time, with simple protein and portion targets. I am not a registered dietitian; for clinical nutrition needs I’ll refer you to one.
Sessions cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice can be rescheduled at no charge; late cancellations or no-shows use the session. Online coaching is month-to-month — cancel any time before your next billing date. No lock-in contracts and no cancellation fees.
More than okay — coaching nervous beginners is one of my favourite things. The 3-Session Kickstart is built exactly for this: you’ll learn the squat, hinge, press and pull properly, get a simple starter plan, and leave the gym feeling like it’s a place you belong. No judgement, ever.
Often yes, and safely — I coach around plenty of common issues and regularly coordinate with clients’ physios, OBs and physicians. Personal training is not medical treatment, though, so I’ll ask you to be cleared for exercise by your provider where appropriate, and I’ll stay in my lane and refer out when something is beyond coaching.
